A True Wife

"A true wife makes a man's life nobler, stronger, grander, by the omnipotence of her love 'turning all the forces of manhood upward and heavenward.' While she clings to him in holy confidence and loving dependence she brings out in him whatever is nobles and richest in his being. She inspires him with her courage and earnestness. She beautifies his life. She softens whatever is rude and harsh in his habits or his spirit. She clothes him with the gentler graces of refined and cultured manhood. While she yields to him and never disregards his lightest wish, she is really his queen, ruling his whole life and leading him onward and upward in every proper path. -JR Miller

A Love Letter

I received a love letter from my husband this weekend it was written in red on my backside. He wrote a paragraph Saturday evening another another one today and today he got my attention. It was his way of pulling me back to where I should be.

As you know we are knew to this thing that we do and well we don't really have it down pat yet. He is weak at times and I take advantage of that and hop back in the saddle and yell charge. This weekend he fixed it so I would not be hopping in the saddle anytime soon.

I wear his love letter with pride, and see it as a badge of honor. I will wear his love letter for a while although no one will be read it; however, I will know it is there.  I love that man more than words can say and well bask in his love. He is the part the completes me and if this is what it takes to remind me of how blessed I am then I will gladly wear his love letters no matter how often he rights them.

  1. Funny, just this morning I was commenting to Dutch about how I could see in the mirror this morning where he signed his name on my bottom last night claiming me as his!

We do love them, don't we?
