A True Wife

"A true wife makes a man's life nobler, stronger, grander, by the omnipotence of her love 'turning all the forces of manhood upward and heavenward.' While she clings to him in holy confidence and loving dependence she brings out in him whatever is nobles and richest in his being. She inspires him with her courage and earnestness. She beautifies his life. She softens whatever is rude and harsh in his habits or his spirit. She clothes him with the gentler graces of refined and cultured manhood. While she yields to him and never disregards his lightest wish, she is really his queen, ruling his whole life and leading him onward and upward in every proper path. -JR Miller

Love in the Air

It has got to be some type of virus going around. As you all know our youngest son got married this past weekend. Well son #2 announced his engagement last night. Someone please just sweep me under the rug and squish out the lumps *FAINT*

Thank goodness it is not happening until next spring! Maybe by then I will have recuperated from this past wedding, the move and whatever else comes my way in the next few months.

Truth be known this was not a total surprise we all saw it coming they have been dating over a year now and we all really expected a ring in January on their one year anniversary or February on her birthday. We are happy for them.

  2. My daughter was married on Aug 4. I am still washing and drying the 400 chair covers and chair bows but did finish the 60 table cloths. I told the two unmarried daughters that I need at least ten years! My only son will be a long while so he is off my threat list. Good luck!

  3. Ah, how sweet. Bet he didn't want to steal the thunder of his sibling's nuptials.

At least they guys - girls wedding are more details than I ever want to have to face again in my life. Daughter must feel same way - has two boys. LOL
