A True Wife

"A true wife makes a man's life nobler, stronger, grander, by the omnipotence of her love 'turning all the forces of manhood upward and heavenward.' While she clings to him in holy confidence and loving dependence she brings out in him whatever is nobles and richest in his being. She inspires him with her courage and earnestness. She beautifies his life. She softens whatever is rude and harsh in his habits or his spirit. She clothes him with the gentler graces of refined and cultured manhood. While she yields to him and never disregards his lightest wish, she is really his queen, ruling his whole life and leading him onward and upward in every proper path. -JR Miller

Crusin' Right Along

Ok as you can tell I haven't here been lately. I am a tad bit overwhelmed. We are planning two weddings...yes that is correct TWO (2) weddings within the next 18 months...one August 2012 and one May 2013(someone please stand by with the smelling salts!) It is crazy right now and well I just can not juggle all these balls. I have been told I have to let go of somethings and put some things on hiatus this blog being one of them. I will check in ever so often to let you know I am still alive but until these weddings are over I am in full wedding mode. Thank goodness I am not the mother of one of the brides. She lives 4 hours away and is trying to do this long distance.

As for the DD well hubby seems to be finding his way. Last week I had some major health issues pop up and Thursday night I ended up in the ER. If that wasn't bad enough hubby was away with one of the university's sports teams filming and had no clue what was happening. I refused to let the boys call him because he had ridden with the team and not taken our personal vehicle so basically he was stuck. I made it home from the ER before he got home and when I told him what happen he went all macho on me. He didn't want me to go to work Friday but did allow me to go in for three and a half hours. At lunch time he was standing at my door and ushered me out. When we arrived home he promptly sent me to bed. I have been on a short leash all weekend, I couldn't sneeze much less start banging around in the kitchen without him standing over me. I am waiting to see what happens when he deems me fit again. By the looks he is giving me that other shoe that is waiting to drop well I am afraid it is going to weigh a ton.

I won't be posting again before Thanksgiving so Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. Hope you have a wonderful and bless week and enjoy your family time. Happy Thanksgiving

  1. Good to see you Annie! Will these weddings eventually give you an empty nest or bring little brides home with them? I hope it's working in your favor.

I don't know the best thing to do in that ER situation. If he couldn't get home then telling him would have just made him frantic but at the same time I would have been big pissed if Nick had had to make a trip to the ER and I hadn't been told. It's a hard call.

    Have a great Thanksgiving.

    Hugs,

Good luck with that. You may need maintenance spankings to get through this.

  6. Kelly, geeez thanks...maintenance please don't give him any ideas.

Christina, yes it was my thyroid and I am now on meds hopefully this will wake it up and it will work correctly again.

PK, he was totally understanding about the ER call or the lack of it. He knew that I was doing what I thought best. You see he films ball games and he had ridden up on the bus with the team and coaches so he didn't have his personal vehicle. He was close to son#2 and I could have called him and asked him to get his dad home if it had turned out serious but thankfully it was nothing really major and I was treated and sent home. He did use a switch on me later after he cooled off because I have not been taking care of myself. So 2012 I am to make doctor and dentist appointments and I am to keep them. I am to eat balanced meals and get more sleep. He said everyone is an adult around here and they do not need me to cook and clean for them. The jury is still out on my attitude towards that LOL.

Yes wedding #1 is August 19,2012 it will be a small family and close friends wedding. She is from another state and we are from another state so this amounts one small wedding and two receptions. Wedding #2 will be May 4, 2013. This wedding will be a major affair #2 son is marrying and ONLY and every time I talk to her she has changed her mind about something *faint* Again this will be a wedding and at least one reception later in our home state.

Now I am just focusing on the end of the semester and birthdays. We have 3 in the next two weeks. Yeah I know should have planned those births a little better but well didn't plan the pregnancies LOL.
